Have you been thinking of making a new sweater, shawl, bag, or afghan? We have many colors of Cascade 220 that have arrived in our shop! Cascade 220 is 100% Peruvian Highland Merino Wool and knits up 5 stitches per inch on Size 7 needles or 4 1/2 stitches an inch on Size 8 needles.

The first surprises were handed out for the completed pairs of socks from April. Now eager club member are working on the second set of socks which feature ladybugs and Panda Cotton yarn. We were amazed at how soft the yarn was. Join us on June 1 from 2-4 pm to find out what new sock we will be knitting.The yarn is ordered, but you gotta be there to find out what it is!!! Call the store at 335-9079 to register. Cost is $5 for the class (includes a pattern and goodies) plus the yarn.

When your socks are finished bring them into the store and get a little surprise.

We have a variety of free patterns downloaded from the web sites of our suppliers. We also have a large assortment of free patterns available for the Plymouth Encore, Encore Chunky, Galway and Eros. Come in and look them over or contact us for details. We also have samples made up of some of the scarf patterns. They are beautiful!!

Save the Date Plans are Being Revealed!

Ewetopia is hosting a celebration luncheon at The Caroline on June 14, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. What are we celebrating? A number of things!

Summer is on the way! We would like you to share the things that you have knitted, crocheted, or needle felted during the past year! Many times we see the yarn that you are purchasing, but we would love to celebrate the completion of your projects. You can pass around or model your creations during our get together.

We are also celebrating having a new restaurant in Troy, The Caroline. The Caroline is located just around the corner from our yarn shop. We will be having a delicious luncheon that they are specially preparing just for us. Lunch will include cup of gazpacho, turkey, tuna and egg salad finger sandwiches, fruit and your choice of fresh strawberries with Kahlua sauce or Caroline’s Dutch Apple Ice Cream. The included beverage is your choice of water, iced tea, or coffee. The cost for the luncheon is $22. With the purchase of your ticket you will receive lunch, have the opportunity to admire fellow needle workers projects, and have the chance to win some fabulous prizes. After the luncheon you are invited back to Ewetopia to visit with the new owners and to shop with a one day discount.
